Several homeless cats were spotted on the streets every day. That was terrible when these poor felines have to deal with the coldest nights in the winter. That is the life of a tabby cat named Padou, living the life of a wanderer.

Luckily, Padou’s life turned to a new page since he met his savior Aya in the streets of Montreal, Canada. Aya and Chatons Orphelins Montréal spent almost all of their time caring for Padou and helped him set his mind at rest.

Padou was a homeless cat roaming the streets of Montreal, Canada. He must have come into battle many times because his body covered a lot of scars. He must have fought for survival, and of course, he looked so rugged like this.

He was spotted wandering along the streets, under the cars, and on the sidewalks. It was a pity that no one paid him attention and gave their helping hands to him.

A couple of months ago, Aya, a cross-by-walker, jumped into him on the street; Padou immediately caught her eyes and made her stop at him. Every day, this woman brought her food and fed Padou to make the acquaintance of him. Padou became closer and closer to her, and they started a beautiful friendship.

Aya could see how severe Padou’s health was, so she decided to call the local cat rescue group, Chatons Orphelin Montreal, for help.

The rescuers encouraged Padou to get familiar with touch. They let him touch his food; then he ate them very tasty. It sounded good!

The vet also had a check for Padou and saw him positive for FIV. Therefore, they took immediate treatment to get rid of his worms and fleas. After a while, he got a quick recovery and started a new happy life.

Padou turned to be more open to everyone and sweeter than ever. He loved cuddles and got attention from his foster mom. He looked so adorable as a domestic cat, not a street cat he was before.

It was such a long, dull path until Padou was rescued. Now, he was on the “over the moon” feeling stage with his own family. From a fearful cat to a sweet cutie, Padou got his feeling back and loved that he had never gone through before.
