Phoebe was spotted while she was locked in a cardboard box in Leeds. Meanwhile, the rescuers run into two other tiny badger cubs roaming in Meltham, West Yorkshire. The rescuer could not hunt Phoebe’s family members down, but two badger’s moms were found not alive in a nearby road. After discovering their family’s conditions and seeing them being abandoned, the rescuer decided to encourage them by a new life in the sanctuary.

Before that, the chief executive Alexandra Farmer observed them a lot to see how they connected. In fact, foxes and badgers were prone to different habitats, but they matched perfectly together in this case. All lost their moms and led on their own, so they were all happy when receiving exceptional care and attention.

Looking at the photo snapped by Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary, we can see how amazing this friendship is. The sanctuary did not offer adoption because these animals naturally belong to the wild. Therefore they did not let Phoebe rely on humans for food but put her with other wild animals to keep her natural habitat.
